WeMove Europe is looking for a Data Scientist consultant to support our work between March and June of this year.
You will help us turn complex data into actionable insights with a focus on supporter engagement, fundraising, impact measurement, and optimising strategies through analysis, predictive modeling and clear visualisation to guide our work.
Key Tasks
Analysis: In depth analysis of actions / supporter engagement on our platforms to help us understand what motivates actions, donations, deep engagement with our work, as well as dis-engagement, etc.
Predictive Modelling: Building models to predict future scenarios linked to growth, engagement, income generation, etc.
Storytelling/Visualisation: creating dashboards and visualizations to present complex findings, in a way that non-technical stakeholders can understand and action those findings

About You - Who are we looking for?
About you
You're comfortable with the full data workflow—from tracking behaviour and conversions through to building models and presenting findings to non-technical colleagues.
You have a degree or equivalent experience in data science, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience with online campaigning, fundraising, email or digital marketing is a plus. Ideally, you have 3-5 years experience in similar roles with other organizations doing online organizing and advocacy.
You're proficient in SQL and have hands-on experience with modern data tools.
Previous hands-on experience with ActionKit, Matomo, BigQuery, Stripe, PayPal, dbt, and/or Metabase is a plus.
You know how to tell a story with data. You can build dashboards and visualisations that make complex findings accessible, and you present recommendations clearly, showing how the data supports each choice.

Working Hours: We are looking for someone who can work 20-30 hours per week, over 4-5 days, Mon-Fri during working hours.
Employment Type: This will be a freelance contract - you need to be a registered freelancer who can invoice us for the work.
Duration: 3-4 months, with the potential to extend.
Location: remote role, based in Europe, working on CET time zone.
